this session was such a blast! i first met two of the little adams boys when i took preschool photos at the treehouse preschool back in september. little did i know there were two more little adams boys at home! angela and greg wanted some family photos and some photos of the boys who aren’t old enough for school photos yet, so we booked a session in their sherwood park home. let me tell you, this family is full of energy and fun!

blake paul • events

it was about four years ago now that i first heard blake paul sing. he was leading worship at a church in sherwood park and i was blown away by the power in his voice. it was pretty apparent that blake has an amazing gift.

fast forward to today and it is no surprise that blake is planning to release an album later this year. he already has a few songs on iTunes available for purchase and he’ll be playing at a local conference called breakforth coming up at the end of January. i stopped by local hotspot, cafe haven, where he was playing a gig last week. enjoy a few shots from this event!

there are so many things i love about what i do. i love being creative. i love photography. i love working with people. my favorite part of my job is capturing relationships. i absolutely love capturing love, whether that’s between an engaged couple, a mother and daughter, newlyweds or families. it’s just the best to be able to see families and couples interact.

over christmas, i had the opportunity to photograph the schlender family – the whole family was together over the holidays, so what better a time to take family photos? we took them out at a farm just outside sherwood park. so much love to capture! it was cold out, but they were such troopers!

wow. that’s all i can say about this beautiful girl. i met rachelle a few years ago when i went on a trip to china to teach english. we haven’t seen each other too regularly since then, but every time we meet up, it is like we’ve never been apart! it was such a joy to get together to take a few shots of rachelle around my favorite area of town. plus, it was an absolutely gorgeous day! beautiful friend, beautiful day. what more could i ask for?

they say time flies when you’re having fun, and time has definitely been flying for me the past couple months. between design work and all kinds of great photo projects, i haven’t been so good at keeping up with the blog!

thought i would fill you in a little on some of my latest projects! first things first. back in september i had the opportunity to take school photos for a preschool in Sherwood Park. these are not conventional school photos! no backdrops, no awkward poses. enjoy!

walk for autism 2009 • events

back in september, i was very honoured to be asked to photograph the walk for autism 2009. families from all over the edmonton area came out to rundle park to support those they love who have autism. what a beautiful day with beautiful people! take a peak at some of the highlights or visit www.autismspeaks.org for more information!

each team had different shirts describing who they were walking for.

there were tons of fun games and crafts for the kids to enjoy.

i have known kristina kittlitz ever since the very first day of kindergarten. she’s probably one of my oldest friends and definitely one of the people in my life who knows the most about me. when kristina emailed me awhile ago asking if i could do a portrait session with her and her sisters, i knew it would be a great time.

kristina and her sisters, kellie and karmelle, have their photo taken together every three years. what a great tradition! i certainly had a blast hanging out around garneau school with these three lovely ladies! here are some of my favorites from the day.

megan & anthony • engagement

part of my job is to make my clients feel as comfortable as possible around the camera. everyone’s unique when it comes to getting used to having a camera around and usually people are nervous for the first few minutes or so, and then they adjust.

enter megan & anthony. this couple was comfortable right from the start. both of them just love to laugh and chat, so that made my job very easy!

the foreman family • portraits

it was a little chilly when i met the foreman’s at a local park a couple weeks ago for their family photo session. the weather in alberta is just so unpredictable…a week earlier, it had been sunny and warm! but even with the chilly temperatures, the foreman boys, bryce and bradly, kept us all warm. they were just racing around the park, and of course we had to race after them! such a great time. here are a few of my favorites.
